For facilities that do not utilize Schedule Maximizer as their outpatient scheduling system, Order Facilitator offers the ability to manually status an order as "Scheduled" and record a patients appointment date, time, and location within an order. "Scheduled" orders can also be searched for by appointment date, another benefit to scheduling an order in Order Facilitator.

To do this, first locate an unscheduled order; typically under a "Received" or "Follow Up" status.

  • Not that the 'Appointment Information' below is blank. This order is ready to be scheduled.
  • Simply select the 'Schedule' button at the bottom of an order to begin.

Users will be presented with the scheduling screen. From here either individual procedures may be selected, or a user may chose to 'Schedule All'. In the below example only one procedure is being scheduled.

  • Select the check box of each exam that is to be scheduled and choose 'Schedule Selected'.
  • A new window will appear, assigned a date, time, and location to the procedure

Once appointment information has been added to the procedure the user can preview the information added.

  • Select 'Done' once completed.

The "Appointment Information" window will now display the updated date, time, and location of the patient's visit.
